Ms. Gwyn was torn between letting in natural light and avoiding harsh glare. Our suggestion was to try out vertical blinds.
In many cases, vertical blinds are the perfect solution. They let in a lot of natural light, while also allowing a room’s occupants to cut out harsh glare when they need to. It’s not hard to adjust them to allow a pleasant breeze through, for example. We came up with a solution, which was to combine vertical blinds with a fairly heavy material that wouldn’t move too much in the breeze. That meant she didn’t have to worry about the vanes clacking together. When we brought the new window coverings over to install them it was a really sunny day, and it was obvious just how much of a difference these new blinds would make!
